Consultant Task | Senior Data Engineer, Greater Copenhagen (28.07.2026)

On behalf of a private sector client, we are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join their Data Team. The team holds technical ownership of a core database and application, and is leading the end-to-end migration to a modern Azure-based ecosystem. The consultant will work in an Agile setup, collaborating closely with data owners and taking full ownership of solutions from design through to support. Day to day, the consultant will design data solutions aligned with business and architectural requirements, build data-intensive web applications in Angular (TypeScript) with a Python FastAPI backend, and develop real-time and batch data pipelines using Kafka. The role also covers database and platform work in Azure Storage, Azure Synapse and Postgres/TimescaleDB, along with CI/CD pipeline management and Kubernetes operations across development and production. We're looking for a proactive engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges and can mentor colleagues along the way. Location: Greater Copenhagen, hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite) Workload: 100% Start: 24 August 2026 Duration: 31 January 2027, extension possible Language: English We are looking for a consultant with the following qualifications: Advanced experience in data engineering with strong hands-on Python skills Experience building web applications with Angular (TypeScript) and FastAPI, including securing REST APIs, async processing, observability and authentication Proficiency in SQL, Postgres/TimescaleDB and Azure technologies such as Synapse and Storage Expertise in Kafka-based streaming solutions, including consumer group management Experience building CI/CD pipelines and deploying within Kubernetes environments Familiarity with Microsoft Entra as an identity provider Experience with Excel Add-ins connected to FastAPI endpoints is an advantage Are you interested?
